The Halo is the rare set of headphones that gets the boring things right. The clamp is firm without pinching, the earpads stay cool over a full workday, and the noise cancelling does the one job you want it to do: make an open office quiet enough to think.
Sound leans warm, with bass that's present but not overbearing. Vocals sit forward, which makes them a strong pick for podcasts and calls as much as music. Battery life comfortably clears a work week of daily use, and a ten-minute charge buys you a few hours if you forget overnight.
They aren't studio-flat, and audiophiles chasing detail will want to look elsewhere — but for the money, nothing we tested felt this easy to live with.
